Dating

Dating at Michigan has always offered a fun reprieve from classes and exams. Dating rituals have evolved over time, from filling out dance cards and attending formals, to going steady and getting "pinned," to meeting matches on Tinder.

Before the end of in loco parentis, dating was often dictated by strict curfews for women, and even required chaperones in the early days. The co-ed dorms most Michigan students live in today, offering them a chance to meet all kinds of people, would have been unthinkable in the early days.
